Maroons Will Possibly Move to Mass......2010-07-06
The Berlin Maroons franchise under the careful guidance of Leo Gould will possibly relocate to the Massachusetts area next year. Berlin,New Hampshire was a storied hockey community for many years drawing large crowds. Russell Couture, Husky Poirier,Ray St.Onge,and Scott Labnon did great work in Berlin over the years.
After 2 years of hosting league Showcases in Berlin, the Maroons who will not ice a team this season, now look to the future. Leo Gould, an ardent
supporter of the IJHL looks for a possible venue move to Massachusetts for next season.Berlin , as a community was a gracious host to all the IJHL teams over the last two seasons and hosted last seasons All Star Game .
