Mission Statement

The International Junior A Hockey League is a non fight College promotional development league designed to develop young players to the college level.The league instills the  concept of working closely with college coaches and higher tiered Junior leagues to help players get college opportunities. The emphasis on academics that all members put forth to help players improve their grades is a  league priority. The  coaching staffs in the IJHL emphasize skill development, character,and sportmanship while competing at a very high level of play. The strict dress codes for teams on and off the ice shows the serious nature of mentoring the young student athletes similar to a college enviroment. The league has adopted a less travel concept to help the players avoid long road trips . Development, and promotion, is a league wide philosophy shared by all member teams. But education which determines the paths of many young players is always the top priority. Molding all players into strong student athletes while teaching them to be good citizens is paramount.
